Hello I'm Kell!
I’m a Japanese-Australian illustrator & animator based in Melbourne, AU. I work a lot and I love to eat sweets!
Drawing is my way of wrestling an idea, and bringing it to being in a way that is both relatable and beautiful.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Communication and Design in 2020, and have since been working as a Graphic Designer by day, and as an illustrator by night. Inspired to create stories that'll add a little more magic and wonder into this world. My work is influenced by traditional folk art, ancient myths and legends, Hayao Miyazaki films, and surrealism; notably the works of Hieronymus Bosch, Remedios Varo, Leonora Carrington.
